Ebb and Flow...I thought this to be the perfect name for this class. Not only because of it's correlation and reference to water but because, I have always thought that creativity and making art is much like the tide. It comes in waves, in and out, always ebbing and flowing.
This course will be an artful exploration of supplies and techniques but also of our own creative habits and patterns. We will use a wide variety of water media including; watercolor pans and tubes, radiant concentrates, water soluable pencils and crayons, acrylic inks and high flow acrylics. I will share with you all that I know about these different mediums and together we will make some wonderful art. Beyond that we will also explore the push and pull of art making. What to do when you feel your creativity ebbing and how to get back into the flow.
Class premiers Monday September 15th and new content and video instruction will be added every Monday through October 13th 2014. The course will remain open forever.
I will show, share and discuss a variety of ideas and mediums and projects for you to play with using different forms of water soluable media. Of course, there is no time limit and nothing is mandatory. You can pick and choose what you think you will like to do at your very own pace and sharing your work is optional too. However, I will tell you that the more you play and experiment (a.k.a practice), the more beneficial to you and your creative practice (and more fun too)!
Q & A
What supplies and materials do I need?
After much thought and consideration, I have decided against providing a materials list. I recommend you have some watercolor paints, a couple of watercolor paintbrushes, some 140 lb. watercolor paper and a micron pen or two. It is my thought that you will watch the videos and see the projects, then decide if you would like to invest in what I am using. You will be able to create along with me as long as you have the 4 items mentioned above.
Do I need all the supplies you are using?
Definitely not, but they sure are fun to have! I will always share and talk about options and things you can substitute.
Do I have to do all the work?
That is completely up to you...however, you will gain more if you do!
What if I don't keep up ?
Don't worry! You have plenty of time to access the material. It will be available until December 2015.
Do I have to participate in the FB Group?
Absolutely not! But keep in mind, sharing and seeing what others are creating, is very inspirational to all.
Can I share the workshop site?
I kindly ask that you respect me and everyone who has paid for the course. Please do not share the links/passwords.
May I share my artwork on my blog or social media sites?
I hope you will!

I hope you do!
Do I need high speed internet?
Yes. Unless you are very a patient person. Unlike me.
Can I use my ipad?
Material will be ipad compatible.
Can I use the group(s) to market my own workshop or shop?

What will I gain from this course?
Everyone, of course, will gain something different. It depends on where you are coming from and what you wish to take away. But I can tell you what I will give, and that is all the knowledge I have about materials, products and techniques with an open and sharing heart, gentle encouragement, support and guidance along the way!
